Post Slam Dunk Post (EH!)

Hello All,

I hope all is well and the bank holidays haven't killed you off!

FINALLY we went to Leeds to a festival called Slam Dunk  and it was a brilliant weekend. It was full of my babes, bands and Ben Barlow! Now with the biggest festival blues I'm writing about the best weekend in ages. By no means does my opinion of the festival and Leeds and what we done whilst there take into account how anyone else feels about it but as with anything on here I'm entitled to my opinion and this is mine, do however if you are into that sort of music check it out as festival as it was lovely and in such a nice location and easy to get to but here is my story of Slam Dunk Festival 2015.

We arrived in Leeds on the Friday afternoon full of amaretto and the urge to party party party. After by far the quietest train journey I have ever been on but me awkwardly shouting down the phone KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY didn't help the quiet journey what so ever. We got lost after getting of the train and ended up paying far too much money for such a short taxi journey to our hotel. Our hotel was lovely, it was the Jury's Inn in Leeds City Centre, it was on Brewery's Wharf. It seemed far too posh for three ladies from Middlesbrough but it was spacious and had beds and to be totally honest that's all we needed from a hotel room. As normal after arriving the search for a meal comes in and we didn't have the foggiest clue where in Leeds we where. After a short walk and a couple of moans about my feet hurting me and my lovely friend Hannah found a Nandos and Burger King and food was finally eaten. Nothing exciting about our food choice as we didn't have much time and we needed to get changed for the nights antics.

Once we fought over the beds, got changed, sorted out our make up and drank as much drink as we could before leaving the hotel we were off in search of the other. The other two were staying pretty central in Leeds in a travel lodge which was pretty nice. Friday mostly consisted of waiting in a que for either drinks, to go in the club or toilet. We went to the student union of Leeds Beckett which had a pre party called F.U.E.L on. It played all my favourite songs and had such a nice atmosphere from what i can recall but with it being the pre party for slam dunk it was massively over busy and it took us ages to get in and ages to que for drinks however it was an excellent night and a class pre party for what was to come on the Saturday.

Saturday morning however was not so fun, I awoke with a massive headache and a hangover that even the thought of a Yates all day breakfast couldn't cure but with slam dunk being that day I needed to recover from fast. We went in search of breakfast and orange juice but whilst deciding what to eat I decided I couldn't hack and went in search of the others to go and meet my fate of the day ahead. After some paracetamol and a burger I was fighting fit for the busy day of music ahead. The first band on our list was Bear Tooth, which is (after googling because I couldn't define them) a metal core band from the USA. I had never really heard of them and still don't rate them, they were good just not my cup of tea. We had some cocktails whilst watching Bear Tooth to top up this mornings hangover and last nights intake, they were mostly juice so the juice helped me cure the hangover. The second band we went to see were the one I most excited about seeing which was a British Pop Punk band called Neck Deep, they were fantastic and everything I expected. They made my weekend and I had the pleasure of meeting the vocalist due to an amazing spot from my friend who spotted him sneaking off into the crowd.

The next few bands we saw were Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis and Taking Back Sunday which I had seen them all separately before but where amazing as always. Taking Back Sunday we only caught the last half of the set but they were amazing and brought back so many 16-18 year old me memories. The last band of the day was You Me At Six who mostly played a really old album called Take Off Your Colours. They always play well and always put on a good show but due to playing this album the set was incredible. A lot the songs I listened to through my teenage years and brought back a summer of 2009 feeling and it was amazing to think how old the album is. They played some songs they never play and some I haven't heard for years and they played with such ease. After the day we went to the after party which was at an arena round the corner from the venue. It was cold in the Arena and the drinks prices were so so high but they played good music and we hung out with friends from back home, so really what more could you want from an after party?!?

The Sunday mostly consisted of dying from a two day hangover and travelling back home and catching up a lot of lost sleep as not much sleep was consumed over the weekend. The train journey back was fast and mostly quiet as me and the girls were hungover and just wanted to listen to music. HOWEVER Leeds was an amazing weekend and I cannot wait to go back next year and do it all again but for now I have wait until V Festival in August to get my festival feeling back! here are some photos from Leeds which sum up the weekend but...
until next time stay safe and thank you for reading my update

Planning a Business?!!!!

Hello All,

I hope all is well and you're enjoying the lush weather are having.

Since I left university nearly a year ago (FLEW OVER!) And around about this time last year I got scared and didn't really know what to do, began to worry about what does life have in store for me when I got in to the big wide world. One year on and I can happily and safely say not very much. I work full time in a job honestly I don't mind but going into my job and day dreaming about something that is missing and it has took me long enough to realise that it's not a sexy husky ginger I'm day dreaming about for once, it's taking photographs. Yes, I miss taking photographs and doing what I love. So one day about three weeks ago I decided enough is enough and decided a year from today I want to be self employed and running a photography business. (PHEW!) This week I have been planning the early stages and updating my social media with my work. Ive been writing a business plan, which is A LOT harder than I thought whilst trying to fit in a full time job and sleep. Ive started a business plan and I've written about 4 pages into it however there is a lot more work to go but it will be worth it in the end. Ill keep you updated.

That's pretty much it for this week, ill post my April favourites next week as I have some stuff
I want to share with you guys but for now stay safe and as always thank you very much for reading.

my mums better than your mum nah nah nah

hey all,

i hope all is well and hope your all having a fantastic Tuesday or St Patricks day for all you Irish people!

I'm currently playing a risky game of can i get this blog post done before my mac dies or do i really have to get up and turn the power on and get my charger! at the moment I'm winning ill let you know how that goes!
its just been mothers day and i didn't really know what to write this blog post about so i decided to mention my mum, in the words of my Facebook post about her 'because she's proper lush' and an absolute trooper in life, yes i know everyone thinks their mum is the best but clearly mine is the best, god she needs some sort of medal for putting up with me for 23 years and still being sane (the second part is completely debatable which i will get back to you on!) but she also allowed me and my two brothers to learn from our mistakes, be polite and level headed humans and allowed us to just grow and become what we are today.  so thanks mum here is a picture of me and my favourite ginger ninja on my baby brothers birthday being stupid and what not! i know she wont read this as i wont tell her ive posted it but thank you for being amazing, loving and my first last and forever best friend. i dont think loving you endlessly can cover how much i do love you!

end of the sappiness of the post about my ginger ninja, my laptop died and I've had to wait to finis this post so i best finish this post before i play anymore chances with the charging! I've updated my side post as i felt seen as though i cut all my hair off and went ginger it needed updating! lets see how long this ginger lasts!

thank you very much for reading my update and tell your mum you love them!

You're only human. You live once and life is wonderful, so eat the red velvet cupcake...

Hey All,

hope all is well and the sun is shining wherever you are!

i have finally had the time to sit down and write a blog post whilst listening to very old par amore (thats what you get when you let your heart win woooooooooo i drowned out all my sense away the sound of its beating) YES feeling 17 again! ANYWAY i kind of feel bad upon myself for not blogging for ages but as i always put i have been far too busy to sit down and write something about my mundane life and 9-5 work pattern. apart from work and watching endless amounts of girls my life isn't very exciting apart from last week it seemed to have a changed a little bit.

I've been shooting again, yes i picked up a camera and yes i took some actual pictures of an actual person for something other than to add to my collection of nights out on my phone or the endless amounts of "selfies" i have on Instagram. a lovely friend of mine asked me last week to shot a hair competion for a friend of hers, at first i was a bit hasty about it as I've never shot anything with the muse being hair but at the end of the day it is just a portrait! so i decided to do it and the result was amazing. here are some images from the shot:

extremely pleased with the outcome. onwards and upwards, however that is it for this week as i dont really have much to update but before i go i do however have to wish the best little nana in the world a happy 88th birthday, i am extremely lucky to have her still in my life. she is the greatest, happiest bravest and strongest fighter i have ever met and each day is blessing we have with her. hope you an amazing birthday and i love you endlessly.

thank you for reading my update and stay safe.
until next time, all my love bee xo

Busiest week in the world of busy weeks

Hey All,

hope all is well and the dark mornings are killing the beautiful sights!

i feel like i have posted in a while and this is completely true. i have been so damn right busy with working two jobs i haven't really had time to sit down and finish this blog post, I've had it as a draft for nearly a fortnight and i feel like i should really finish it. I'm currently sat watching last nights catch up of the x factor day dreaming about ben haenow and stuffed off a sunday dinner and still finding space to stuff a kit lat in to my mouth.
but all greediness aside I've started my new job and now I'm working the longest days i have ever seen in my whole entire life and i think i see my family for about 30 mins a day! the lack of sleeping is generally catching up on me and when i do sleep all i can dream about is electricity and pizza. two jobs is never a good idea but the money is hella good! i haven't seen daylight for about three weeks and i dont think I've caught up with anybody other than on Facebook for awhile and through this lack of sleep i have realised costa do an amazing hot chocolate and its great to keep you awake (i think I'm on about 50 of them a day).

i promise i will catch up on blogging soon.

until next time, all my love bee xo

am i beginning to loose my mind?

Hey All,
hope all is well and the cold isn't getting you down!

Christmas is EVERYWHERE!!!!
literally everywhere and I'm beginning to loose my mind about it all. from the coca cola advert being played and Starbucks christmas drinks being sold and even christmas songs being played in the shopping centre, it is literally all around me. i haven't even started planning what I'm getting people or even prepared for the winter rush (my thoughts haven't gone past the nervousness for my new job next week) don't get me wrong i ain't no bah humbug i do love christmas, i love spending time with my family in front of the fire watching the christmas specials and drinking hot chocolate or drinking baileys but isn't it far to early in november I've barely just got over the halloween hangover and i still keep finding fake blood on my carpet and people are already putting up their christmas tree and playing christmas songs!

from my insane rant on christmas being forced upon people early to a bit more joyful note, i signed up for a theperfectstrangers.co part oh comely (its pretty much a massive game of pass the parcel) I've been assigned my partner/stranger and yesterday i was very stressed about what to send for that! what i got from her paragraph is she is an art student, she likes crafts/hand made papers/journalling/the colour sunny yellow/ seasons and when reading this all i was thinking is she is the total opposite of me, how the hell do i send someone something when i know nothing about them and what they have sent me is something i have no clue about! so after thinking and thinking and thinking i have to ideas: a box based around the colour yellow or a winter survival pack!! so this week i am going to pick things up and have a look for things i can buy her to create these little packs! EXCITED!!! ill keep you posted!!

so yes thats it for this post, i haven't had much to post as i haven't really done much, I've been working my other job so much to save to be able to travel to my new job as i wont get paid from it for a month and I'm scared i wont be able to get there!

until next time, all my love bee xo
